Grandmother's Love: Now Inside A Book
about us
Christy Frye
Christy Frye lives in Northern Wisconsin, just moments from the breathtaking shores of Lake Superior. She shares her home with her husband and their loyal British Labrador, and treasures her roles as a proud mother of two grown children and a joyful grandmother to one grandson—her favorite little sous chef.
For Christy, the kitchen has always been a place of peace, creativity, and connection. Whether she’s preparing a cozy meal for her family or baking something sweet alongside her grandson, cooking is her happy place. A lifelong lover of cookbooks, she has built an impressive collection—especially vintage and community cookbooks—reading them cover to cover like cherished novels.
Though she didn’t spend her childhood cooking beside her grandmothers, Christy still recalls the warmth, aroma, and love that filled their kitchens. Many of their handwritten recipe cards and treasured dishes have now found a second life in her own home, inspiring this cookbook. Her goal is simple yet meaningful: to bring back the basics—approachable, heartwarming recipes that anyone can make with confidence and share with joy.
When she’s not stirring something on the stove, Christy serves as the executive director of a home care company, is a licensed nursing home administrator, and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree. She enjoys gardening, golfing, boating, and—above all—spending time with her grandson.
This cookbook marks a new chapter for Christy—a heartfelt celebration of grandmothers everywhere, and a tribute to the enduring connection between food, family, and tradition. Through her pages, she hopes to preserve the past while inspiring a new generation of home cooks to find their own joy in the kitchen.

Awesome!
“This book is a revolutionary step in cooking. No fancy tools or rare ingredients, just honest recipes that have been handed down over the years. Last night, I baked the cinnamon coffee cake, and it tasted just like those times when my grandmother tried to cook for me when I was a little boy.”

“Giving Grandma Knows Best as a gift for my mother was the initial intention, yet we found ourselves cooking from it the entire weekend. The books' handwritten-style notes, the easy-to-follow instructions, and the feels-like-home stories behind every dish made it way more than just a cookbook. I give it five stars!”
